I normally go out of Jupiter Inlet to West End which is about 65 miles. The old 28'er handles it like a charm. Of course, I am not a very bold boater so don't like to cross in anything bigger than 2'-3' seas. Usually not a problem. But if I have to spend an extra day or two in Stuart or Jupiter for a good weather window, oh well.

I've been diving all over the world and the Caribbean is the best there is as far as I'm concerned. I really RAELLY like the southern Bahamas. Fishing is good too.

I will be sure to take lots of photos and give a trip report.

See you on Face Book.

Bob

Wow, what a cool trip. Now I'm really jealous, but hope to read a blow by blow on the trip. And lots of photos please.

How long is the open water crossing? I guess from Miami to Bimini, right?
Is the something the 28 can handle at will, or do you need to go with a group during weathers windows?

Hows the diving? I have never dove that part of the caribbean.
Have dove in Jamaica, Cozumel, and a little in the Gulf of California.(Cabo). Yik.

Your name popped up on Face Books, I'll send you an email and we can share photos there as well if you want.

Man, it's good to hear you are doing well. Keep at it and you'll be back on the water in no time.

Weather here is great. Yesterday was bright, sunny and 88 degrees. I'm getting the boat all preped and serviced for a 16th departure for the bahamas. Plan to be gone 2-3 weeks. I really love fall and winter boating here since it's not so damn hot like it is in the summer.

So, got all my SCUBA gear and tanks aboard, all my fishing stuff is cleaned and ready to go, filters and seperaters all changed, oil changed and underwear clean. Now all I need to do is provision the boat and it's off we go! I'll post some photos when I get back.

Keep us posted as you recover and start to get spunky again.

Bob

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the thoughts.
I am home again, and spend most of the day in bed, or sitting in a recliner.
Today's is one week since the surgery, so I think I'm doing fairly good. Nice to get the old lap top and read what you guys are going, and enjoying your boating.
I can't wait to get back to work on the old boat again.

Trees here are all changing, and we getting some future lake water (AKA Snow :-) in the higher elevations. We got both boats and the house winterized in the nick of time, got down to 35 last night.

Hows the Florida weather holding for you?

Bob
