Posted - 09/06/2006 : 8:25:33 PM Are you happy with this forum? Is there anything we can do to make it more interesting? It has been quiet lately and I guess everyone has been busy but I hope you are all happy here. This is your forum so feel free to use it. There are some very interesting and talented people here and I know I for one have learn't so much from others about Carvers and boats in general. Even with the years I have spent boating I still learn something new here each week. So don’t be shy and don’t think your question or comments are of no interest, they are and above all this is a forum where you can ask questions which are important to you. There is always someone who has the answer. So give me feedback, tell me if the forum is not what you need and I will do my best to change it for you. Having said this I hope you all have a great week, what’s left of it and an enjoyable weekend. Regards to all Paul

Posted - 11/18/2006 : 8:53:47 PM Your forum helped me so much during my voyage toward Carver ownership. Ironically I ended up with a '76 Mariner that looks just like yours - Paul! Thank you and this forum for helping me become a more informed buyer. Don't change a thing.

Posted - 11/09/2006 : 12:19:17 AM Just an update. Here it is November 8. Took the overdraft out for a 2-1/2 run. We are having unusual weather and it was 80F with calm winds. Beautiful day and the boat ran like a top. Guess I finally have the fuel system problems resolved.

Posted - 10/22/2006 : 11:22:07 AM Hi Paul, keep it going as is. It is a great resource for all Mariner owners. I finally took the "Overdraft" out for a run after working all summer getting it going. The months of July and August are just too hot here in Oklahoma to do much out in the sun. But the test voyage with the new sea water pumps went fine. Ran about a hour and a half without a hitch. Now to get the bottom painted. Do not envy you looking at six months of winter, yuk.

Posted - 10/16/2006 : 8:07:19 PM hi Welcome to the forum and pleased to have you here. I was unaware that there was any restriction for PM's and will look into it straight away. You are more than welcome even if your boat is a Riviera, a lot of what takes place here is in general and I am sure that there are others here who have other makes and models. We are not to tough on rules and as long as its boating we will accept it. Have a great day Paul

Posted - 10/15/2006 : 09:15:37 AM Hello Paul, I just registered here and have tried to do this via PM to you, which was not allowed because I have not posted enough. Is there a reason a PM is only allowed based on quantity of posts?
My question was to be "How do I insert an Avatar"?
I own a Riviera, rather than a Mariner, but am still interested in the Forum. Any problem(s) with that?
Carry on, regardless. |

Posted - 09/08/2006 : 5:31:21 PM Hi Paul... everything is fine with this forum... I check in twice a week or so, but not having the boat in the water this year and not having time to work on it, I have little to contribute. Still, check in to see how the 'family' is doing Later ~ Steve |
