I just noticed that the trim tabs are moving but only extending about 4 inches. The size of the hydraulic arms would seem to suggest that the tabs should be moving farther than that.

I have topped up the hydraulic fluid but that didn't seem to make much difference.

Can someone tell how far the tabs should extend?

Sounds about right. YOu would think more movement.
