Can someone tell me what year carver switched from wood to aluminum window frames on the mariner and/or voyager models.

From the blogs I've read, wood is a lot of work to restore.

Not sure but I think it was 1983.

True, the wood is more work, but, IMHO, they sure do look better. I wish my 1987 had wood instead of aluminum.

1978 was the last year for wood window frames.
(There is a 1978 at my marina.)
Mine is a 1979 and has aluminum frames.
Am VERY glad I have aluminum frames!
They are 30 years old and still in great shape!
Wood would have been long gone by now...
