Baileys.......Rock likes Baileys???

Did a bike ride with some friends last weekend to Silverton, CO.
Spent the night in Durango.
Went to the "Irish Embassy" and did a couple Irish Car Bombs.

Still not fully recovered.....

I absolutely love Durango, CO and surrounding area. If they'd just dig a waterway so I could get my boat there I'd move in a heartbeat!!

Come on up for a visit.
The Ute Tribe built a new lake a mile south of Durango. We could launch the Carver
and the level of the lake would go up two inches.....

Am sitting here all Warm & comfy on the boat, while the wind howls outside blowing leaves all over...
It's 46F out, winds are 20mph gusting to 30+mph, can well imagine that the lake has 6-8 foot waves.
(Most likely more, the wind has been blowing a long time.)

Thought about taking a trip up the Detroit river, but don't really feel adventurous enough to work the seas right now.
So instead, I'm comfy with my laptop writing to you just listening to the wind...

Haven't been on much because I have been incredibly busy, this is my first day off in about 2 months.
(Now you can see why I'm warm & comfy & not wanting to move! lol)

Really gotta love having a boat you can be this comfy on while it isn't so nice outside.

As much as I hate to, thinking of pulling the boat next weekend.
This will be the earliest I have ever pulled it out of the water.
Usually it is the 2nd or 3rd week of november. This year has been so cold & wet that may as well get it done.
Besides, many of you may remember me powerwashing,& winterizing the engines in the middle of a snowstorm last year... TeeHee

While that has certain positive storytelling traits, not really planning on repeating this year.
The funniest part is that this will be the first year have ever pulled it out before it's had measureable snowfall on the decks. (Last year was a 2-4" snowfall the day before I pulled it out)

If nothing else, will allow me to let go mentally for a while and start getting my snowmobile ready for Michigan.
As cold as it is, just may have some serious early snow to play in!

Hey Rock, good to read ur writing... took my Carver into drydock Oct 5th... now all winterized and covered and sad... (marina closed on tghe 4th)/
11:30 pm and blowin' here too, and turning colder. We've had snow already a few days ago... still have a friends 38'Pacemaker (also wood 1968) to winterize and pull. ... in spite of the weather tho, when it is nice out the lake is just so inviting... wish i could still go out ... but the weather this year was far from even a normal 'good ' year/// during the winter will update my pages with some of the challenges from the weather on my amateur woodwork ... anyway, wonderful to know you are pushing the season as far as you can... I have some pics of (another boat) being burried in the snow, the only boat left in the water in November ... quite some years ago now. ~ Steve

Hi Steve!

Good to hear from you!
Definitely will have to fill us in on your adventures.
We would like to hear about them.

I know, I soooo wanna take a cruise yet.
Maybe I will next weekend, if the lake is decent, I just may...

Had a very pleasurable weekend on the boat, nothing major, just pleasurable...
