hi, i am new to this forum and was wondering if u guys can give me some pointers on what to look for, i have this 84 carver that im willing to buy. this guy is askin $3500.00 just needs 2 new batteries and is ready to be dropped in, fully winterized by the marina, the boat sleeps 8 , full kitchen, stove, oven, fridge, sink and hot water, full bathroom with shower, beautifull white floral interior,along with georgous teak thruout, upper control helm with seating, the boat has a big block chevy with a newwer outdrive,what do think? i dont kno how to insert pic other wise i would have. any advise would be great.

Looks good, but check it out throughly, sounds like price is low, I want 7k for my 74 mariner

Sounds like a good deal price wise, but that is not an 84 carver. That is an earlier model, late 70's is my guess.

Firstly welcome to the Carver forum.
The boat you are looking at is not an 84. The shape photoed is at the latest an 82 as this shape finished in 82.
Have a look at the lower left corner of the transom and you will find a serial number.
The last two digits are the year of manufacture. Also have this serial number checked out to see if it was ever stolen, damaged or is under any financial restraint.
If the owner does not know the year then I would be very cautious.

There are quite a few people that will custom build a trailer for this boat. But boat/trailer will come in around 12,000 to 13,000 LBS.
So you will need at least a HD 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck... and wide load permits.

Like others have said, get it checked out, seems really low on the price.
