Hi folks, Thought I'd say hello.Just bought a 1988 Carver Voyager. I've been checking out this site for a while now and have learned a lot. Thought I should join now that the sale is final. Didn't want to jinx it by jumping the gun. I'm looking forward to some good conversations about our mutual interest. We ( 1 wife, 2 dogs) will be staying on the boat this weekend at Lashley Marina in Punta Gorda Fl. Great view of the best fireworks display around and all kinds of other stuff going on all around us. Our first voyage will follow on the 6th from there to our favorate marina at Cape Haze about two hours away. Wish us luck !!

Hello everyone, you guys will probably be hearing from me a lot as this is my first Carver. I think I got a great deal however I'm not fooling myself I know she will need some work and has some hidden secrets. She is a 1985 28' Mariner, one engine needs to be replaced and the port motor has jumped timing but was rebuilt 2 years ago. The marine air does not work it keeps blowing the breaker when turned on briefly. The hull and interior are in pretty good shape. I am in the process of wet sanding her down to restore the gel-coat. Anyway long story short I paid $800.00 for the boat. So keep your fingers crossed for me. Any intial suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
