I am about to rewire my boat. I have it opened up enough that there are no obstacles to work around. I was going to forgo using the pin terminal blocks as I am not snapping in any harness's. Am I making a mistake?

One more question. The wire colors have changed should I update the colors to todays standards?

If it were me, as long as I was doing all that work anyway, I would totally update it to current standards.
